House Closing

Today was the big day. Today I closed on our new house; so it's official, I am a home owner. I cried myself to sleep last night and woke up wanting to throw up. Not exactly how you would envision feeling about such a big life event. But that's just how I feel. It's such a mixed emotion kind of event.

I dropped Parker off at school and headed over to the title company. My realtor and attorney were both there with me and it really was a super quick procedure. I signed a few papers and that was that. The longest waiting period was when they were making copies.

While I was at the title company, Grandma H and Papa were so nice to pick Parker up from his preschool and drive him to his field trip. His class was visiting the fire station this morning and Parker was so excited. He could not wait to see/meet Sparky, the fire dog. I met up with them after I was done, and Parker said he had a great time and so did Grandma H and Papa. Parker and I took them to the new house to give them a tour and then headed to our chiropractor appointments. Parker is responding well to the adjustments and they are going to back him off of adjustments. I am also doing well and am about 70% healed. So, I have to continue with the 3 adjustments a week for a little bit longer.

Afterwards, we met up with Grandma C and Grandma M for lunch at Sams and then headed to over to the new house again. Parker seems to really be warming up to the thought of moving. I think the more time we spend there, the better he will be. The carper cleaning guy cam and gave us an estimate and will be back on Monday to get them all clean and ready for us. We headed home and picked up Miss Lizzy and Annalise from school. The kids played and we all did some group yard work together. Nothing says Fall, like jumping in big leaf piles.

We ended our night by having dinner at McDonalds ( Parker's choice) and bought the paint for his room. We compromised on the color. He wanted a dark or very bright blue and I preferred something light. I think we will both be happy with our pick.
