Today was Parker's first soccer practice. This was such a bittersweet event. TJ couldn't wait for Parker to start soccer. Soccer had been TJ's favorite sport growing up. My heart was so sad all day. And I think Parker's was too. He seemed a little nervous before leaving this morning. I tried to make this practice sound super exciting. I told him how his Daddy had loved playing soccer when he was a little boy. And that I bet he would do awesome! He asked if his Daddy could see him playing from Heaven. Sweet boy just brought me to my knees. So, all I could say was, "YES, Daddy would be watching and smiling and cheering him on."

He did do a Awesome job. And he really seemed to have a great time. After he was done with his practice, he looked at me with his sweet little face and asked if his Daddy was proud of him for playing soccer and being a good listener. Every time I think it's not possible for my heart to break anymore, it does. So, yes sweet sweet Parker. Your Daddy is SO PROUD of you. You were the light of his life. His reason for all that he did. I am so sure he was smiling his smile and saying that's my boy as he watched you from Heaven.
